CeraVe Acne Control Cleanser is a dermatologist-developed acne face wash made for oily and acne-prone skin affected by breakouts, blackheads, clogged pores and excess shine. The formula contains 2% Salicylic Acid to exfoliate inside and around pores, helping clear existing blemishes and reduce the buildup that can contribute to new breakouts. Hectorite Clay provides oil-absorbing care, while Niacinamide helps calm the skin. Three essential Ceramides — Ceramide NP, AP and EOP — together with Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Cholesterol and Phytosphingosine help support the protective moisture barrier so the skin feels clean and refreshed without excessive dryness.

Wet the face with lukewarm water.

Dispense approximately a dime-sized amount into the hands and work into a light lather.

Gently massage over the face using circular motions, paying particular attention to oily or congestion-prone areas such as the forehead, nose and chin.

Avoid the eye area.

Rinse thoroughly with lukewarm water and gently pat the skin dry.

CeraVe recommends using the cleanser morning and evening. If you are new to Salicylic Acid or your skin becomes dry or sensitive, begin once daily or every other day and gradually increase according to skin comfort.

Avoid combining too many strong exfoliating acids or harsh acne treatments in the same routine if irritation develops.

Follow with a suitable moisturizer.

Because Salicylic Acid exfoliates the skin, apply broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning.
